SEFEP, the Smart Energy for Europe Platform, was founded by the European Climate Foundation and Stiftung Mercator as a non-profit organization committed to the goal of a fully decarbonised, reliable and predominantly renewable power supply in Europe before 2050, with an office in Berlin. During its initial phase of operation, SEFEP has produced or commissioned a number of studies and working papers. These can be found under "Concluded Activities". After its restructuring, some of SEFEPs activities are continued and further developed by the Renewables Grid Initiative.
